Arrested for Driving While Suspended or Revoked?
For the past 18 years, I have been providing traffic defense for people who have been arrested for driving while their license was suspended or revoked (DWLS/DWLR). If you have been arrested for driving while suspended or revoked, you will need an attorney who is skilled at handling such matters in your corner. The consequences for a DWLS or DWLR can be serious, and include jail time. In Illinois, DWLS and DWLR is a Class A Misdemeanor (the legal equivalent of a DUI).

More than 73,000 people were arrested for driving on suspended and revoked licenses in 1999, according to a 2001 press release from Illinois Secretary of State White. Illinois is among the states that have the toughest penalties for DUI and for habitual offenders.
You need a strong, straightforward and effective lawyer to represent you if you have been charged with DWLS or DWLR. I have a thorough understanding of traffic law and am also well versed in how to defend you.
Driving on a revoked license (DWLR) and driving on a suspended license (DWLS) are both Class A misdemeanors — yet there are big differences between the two charges. License privileges are restored at the end of the suspension period and with the payment of a reinstatement fee to the Illinois Secretary of State. However, a revoked license is different in that no amount of time will pass for you to be automatically reinstated – you have to go through the reinstatement process.
Also, although initially a misdemeanor offense, depending on the reason you were initially revoked and how many times you have been caught driving while revoked, you could end up being charged with a felony and spend some time in jail.
Direct. Focused. Compassionate.
You are going through a challenging time and I will work to help you through it. I will sit down with you, explore your options and let you know what to expect. You can be reassured that you I will represent you to the fullest extent of the law and seek to get your charges reduced or help you obtain a driver's permit if possible.
